Tab Trade - What Traders Should Know

Tab Trade - The Short Version

TabTrade opened in March 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the founder has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.

What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, commodities, shares, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is broad.

Platforms

You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Two major platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Having both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.

MT5 is what most people know. Full charting, automated trading, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader is the alternative. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.

FIX API is available for bots but needs the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be on the roadmap. That would round things out when it lands.

What You Pay

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Suits beginners.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. So your all-in cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.

VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not relevant to most retail traders. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.

Infrastructure

This is where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at a much wider range.

Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.

Combine that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the total package is strong. Few brokers in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.

Safety

This is the detail that matters. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Scam brokers do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. That does not make it safe. It should factor into your decision.

The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether this deal makes sense comes down to your priorities.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You deposit, they add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before funding.
